Look who is finally drinking like a big girl!! We have gone through every sippy cup known to man!! Thanks to Mandy for this suggestion!! She will have nothing to do with juice but seems to like water!!

Easter Party

My mom did a sweet Easter party for Causey and some of her Jackson friends (the only friends she really has!) She worked for two days, nonstop and it turned out wonderful!! Next year we are going bigger and better!! She sent that same bunny cake to school with me when i went to First Pres.!! The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold!! Hope everyone had a good time, as much as you can with all the little ones running around!!

Causey and the never ending fever..............

So Tues. morning Causey wakes up her sweet normal little self, I thought she felt warm but not even enough to torture her by taking her temp. Wednesday she wakes up and is burning up, 102, poor thing. I remember the doctor saying she could run a fever 7 to 10 days after her 12 month boosters, so that's fine, hand me the Tylenol!!

By late that afternoon she is running 104!! Call the doctor and they say bring her in first thing in the morning, but its probably the shot............We (and by we, i mean me and "doctor" Mandy Barber) start giving her Tylenol and Motrin every two hours, it still wont come down below 103! Lovely! It was a very long night, but I had no idea what a long night was yet..........

Take her in Thurs. morning- they draw blood, take urine, the whole nine yards. Basically they say we don't know whats wrong, come back tomorrow.

All day Thursday she runs 103-104, but is in a relatively good mood! Tylenol and Motrin still every two hours. I check on her at 9pm, cool as a cucumber................9:53 she wakes up with 105!

I know I should have taken her to the ER, so lets just let that go..................

She screams for 3 hour blocks.............sleeps for 45 mins..........screams............you get the picture!!

Go back to the doctor Friday morning, she says: its an EAR INFECTION!!

Come on people, whose kid runs 105 temp with an ear infection! It has now been over 72 hours of fever over 103!! I know I am blessed that this is her first ear infection, but what a way to start!

Parties, friends and daddy

This is me and my bestest friend Hayden, on her birthday! I was suppose to be older than her, but i was in no hurry to come out. And ever active Hayden came out right on time!! She had the same outfit i had on for my birthday and our moms did not even know it! They have such great taste!
Causey and her dad! Hayden's birthday was one of the rare things he was able to attend! Could it have had anything to do with the fact it was at Henry's house......................

1 year check up

We just got back from the doctor! She weighs-19.3 and is 28" long! (still in the bottom 10%)

She said Causey is a little behind in gross motor skills (you think?) but a little above in fine motor and social skills!! David said that sounds like him, can't shoot a basket, but loves to cut open an eyelid!! (gross)

I am kinda nervous about giving up the bottle! Feeding her 3 meals a day, plus snacks seems a bit overwhelming! I am fine with the formula (especially since my parents buy most of it) all this food.......................i just don't know!!

There is no way she will drink 24oz. of whole milk out of a sippy cup!!

I am having huge issues with her growing up.............you know what that means! Time for another one!! (Just kidding!! I wish!!)

Friends and Babies

This is Caroline and Sparks, Brittney and Beckett!! We have all been best friends since First Pres. I don't know how I would have gotten through the last year without their constant support and advice!! Its so nice to have someone else going through the same thing..........................

Mandy and Hayden are not pictured (Hayden was wanting to swim in my parents pool, and was not happy about the fact that is was a little to cold!) Mandy has answered more questions than anyone!!

Teeth

Told ya'll she had teeth, she just wont let you see them often!! She might not walk soon, but she is going to find out about the joy of steak, here real soon!! Oh............and she has cut all 4 back teeth! It's been fun around here!

David looked at me the other day and said "There is a limit on how much Motrin you can give a child in one day!"
